Yesterday I planted some spinach, chard and radishes in planter boxes on the deck. As soon as I had finished I knew there was going to be a problem. There was no way I was going to remember which seeds were in which container, especially if they were moved. They needed markers.
Real gardeners have cute little markers that withstand the rain, I did not feel like going back to the hardware store for markers. What could I use? Then it hit me, the one thing we have in abundance around here, we already use them in pots. Corks.
Behold the cork plant marker. I am feeling pretty pleased with myself.
We usually just throw them in the big pots to help with moisture retention.
I think they look pretty cool too.
