Monday I cleaned out the fiber cabinet. I know someone who is collecting school and craft supplies, especially yarn, for a school in Malawi Africa. No better cause. I pulled out all of the yarn people had given to me that I was never going to knit, and placed it in a large bag. Also placed in the give away bag were lovely skeins that I purchased but did not see myself knitting by the end of the year. To top it off I added a few skeins of handspun and some circular needles. The bag is bigger than I was expecting. This is what is left
It looks nice. It is almost all sock yarn, with a couple skeins of Malabrigio for good measure. The yarn is on the top shelf. In the basket are some left over odds and ends and some reskeined hanks. The second shelf holds tools. The little shoe box is full of circulars. I have a candle holder keeping track of the double points. At least the ones that are not on my desk. There are a few spindles that I have not used since Bob entered the house, and a couple of small project bags. The bottom shelf holds a handmade quilt, a bag of straights and an envelope of yarn being saved for a very special purpose.
Rovings are on the bookshelf. There are only four and I expect those to be gone pretty darn quick. No use to take a picture.
A respectable stash. Enough to allow for creativity but not so much that I am embarrassed.
