First up, spinning.    I love this picture.

 There is another bobbin to match these.  I have just two little nests of fiber left to spin and I expect to be all done with the singles by the end of the week.  With luck I will be plying this weekend.  Spinning 8 ounces of 3-ply sock yarn has taken much longer than I anticipated.  While I still love the colors I am ready to look at something else for a while.

Last month I was given a ball of Encore Worsted.  This is not a yarn I would normally use and so I set it aside thinking I would give it to someone else.  Then this Baby Surprise Jacket KAL came along.  I am not normally a Knit A Long kind of gal, but I have been wanting to tackle the pattern and I have this ball of pink yarn just sitting on the shelf and I have people with a new baby who are not careful with the laundry.  It all fit into place.   

I will swatch today with a cast on date of September 15.
