Here it is, the end of the year. Even without a calendar it is pretty easy to tell a new year is about to begin. The knitting blogs are full of goal lists. Most of the goals have to do with reducing stash and finishing projects on the needles. I have similar ideas, but it is not the same. For instance, here is my yarn stash.
Yep, that’s it. Enough for 6 pairs of socks and one shawl. It may or may not be knit this year. Because of its diminutive size, I am not losing any sleep over it.
In the spirit of fairness, there is also fiber stash.
6 - 4 ounce braids, a well heeled sock bat, and a bit of angora. I love looking at the fiber stash. A good goal pertaining to it would be to find a nice way to display it all. Especially since it will continue to come into the house at a rate of 4 ounces a month. Yes, I will continue with the Dragon Fibers club in 2009.
Speaking of clubs, in addition to the monthly dose of fiber, I also joined Woolgirl’s sock and lace clubs. That means that beginning in February I will also receive a monthly yarn package. It will alternate between sock and lace and I could not be happier. These three clubs should keep me happily knitting and spinning all year. I can not think of a better goal.
