I just received a request to pay for the Woolgirl 2009 Sock Club. After checking my bank account, good thing I checked, it seems I am waiting for a couple of checks to clear. I am anxious to pay and guarantee my spot.
The past week and a half has been so hectic. Dealing with the snow and the change of plans it caused was stressful. Having an out of town guest is stressful. Hosting a holiday party, stressful. It goes on and on. So far, we are not scheduled to do anything for anyone but ourselves for a couple of days. I hope it holds, it would be a great way for me to mark the passing of the year.
There is a new pair of socks on the needles. Dash.
The pattern is super easy. Easy to execute after reading through the pattern, no need to carry a pattern around. Easy to tell exactly where you are after you set the sock down. I am using a yarn that is too dark. You can not really see the slipped stitches, but the slipped stitches give the yarn a nice texture, so I am going to continue. I think I will use the Claudia’s Carousel from the stash for the next pair.
Speaking of the stash, I have a new yarn to add.
Fleece Artist, Sea Wool. This is one of my very favorite yarns and was sent to me from my Yarnakkah swap partner. She sent other stuff too.
I feel very spoiled.
Speaking of spoiled. A couple of our friend's were not able to attend out holiday party. Why? Because they finally got kids! They have been working on the adoption thing for a long time and were blessed with a pair of cuties on December 26th. Yesterday, as we were driving over to meet them,it occurred to me that I now have little people to knit for. I learned how to knit after my kids were little. The prospect of little hats and sweaters makes me giddy.
