The only project on the needles is the Sock Yarn Blanket. It is currently about 30 inches across and I have not yet completed the first round of all the leftover sock yarn balls.
There is something so satisfying about knitting up the little squares. While it is true that it will take at least a year to actually finish the blanket, each individual square is like crossing a finish line. A square can be completed during a movie, or in bed while listening to Husband read to Youngest Son. Bind off the last stitch of a square, chose a new color, pick up stitches and begin again. Surprisingly fulfilling.
The only downside is that the blanket is no longer a portable project. There is a plan to get together with knitting buddies on Saturday and I will need another project. Something small that will not distract me from the glory of the squares.
I am starting to collect enough sock leftovers to begin a project like this. Where did you get the pattern? Yours is looking great so far.

The upside of the downside is that once you are done, you are done! No seaming! Genius.
That blanket is going to be beautiful.
Looking forward to seeing you next week!
