This month's Can Jam challenge is (are?) herbs. As usual, my first reaction was WTF? Turns out that herbs can be downright inspiring. My plan is to make an herbed wine jelly. I will be using pear wine and chives. I do have a finished product in mind. It involves poking a brie with a fork, slathering it with the pear wine and chive jelly, wrapping it in puff pastry and baking the whole thing off. Now that is a pill worthy treat.
Anyone know where I might find pear wine?
No, but I'm inviting myself across the border when you do make that brie!!

I could swear I got a blackberry wine at PCC once too. Occasionally there'll be some non-standard fruit wines at Whole Paycheck as well.
