Yesterday I headed to the garden store for seeds.  Yes, I know I am slow to get the peas in, but I am pretty sure they will forgive me.

So, picture me walking through the nursery chanting,  "peas, spinach, radish & chard - peas, spinach radish & chard..." when this

stopped me dead in my tracks.  Not only are they the most fabulous rain boots ever made, they are in my gignormous size.  There is no way I could go home without them. 

They also made a great reusable shopping bag.

While the main reason I garden is not to save money, it has occurred to me that buying fabulous garden boots is not helping.

Still a little early for peas up here, ground is a bit too wet and cold. Sigh. Before the end of the month, though.
