Longest Night is a project that I have been working on for a very long time. First I saw the pattern, then spent months looking for the perfect yarn, only to realize I already owned it, in fiber form. It took many more months to spin the 1600 yards required for the shawl. At long last I cast on.
Soon into the shawl I was able to feel the finished fabric, so soft and drapey. A few more inches showed the lovely color that shined like the night sky.
A few more inches and the shawl really opened up.
Love is good. Sing the Mary Tyler Moore theme with me…love is all around, no need to fake it, you can find the time, why don’t you take it….
I do believe you have officially gone round the bend, over the hill, past the creek, into the mountains and off the deep end. Enjoy your knitting bliss! I am off Monday night. Do you have plans? It will be raining, but a drink or two could keep us warm. I am in fish hat hell and need a lace-y break. Even if it is looking at someone else's lace....Deb
