Good luck! I do the Turkish cast on on one long circular needle. It freaked me right out at first. I watched a very short video repeatedly then I found a step by step photo tutorial. Then I did it and I could not believe how farking easy it was. I know people have strong feelings about DPNs, two circs, magic loop etc. but it was so unbelievably easy, stupid easy once I did it that I was a bit ashamed of myself for freaking out so hard. I believe there are videos of the Turkish cast on out there and it can be done on dpns. You can do it!

I am not fond of toe-up. The ABSOLUTELY, HANDS-DOWN BEST cast on I have ever used is in Miriam Felton's Twist and Knit book. It's the only one will use.

I have done toe-up on dpns. i used Wendy Johnson's toe-up feather and fan pattern (freebie) and it worked really well. So don't let the dpns stop you.

That yarn is stunning. I'd want to try and run off with it, too!!

Love the yarn! Thank goodness critter decided to leave it. Doing test knitting for Sock Madness has gotten me over my toe-up fears but I freely admit I still don't like to do toe-up. Those are so pretty. They'll be well worth it!
