Each year the Seattle Knitters Guild chooses a project for a year long KAL. Two years ago it was the Oregon Vest (too scary), last year was Girasole (I meant to make one), this year instead of a specific project, a specific yarn was chosen.
Hazel Knits dyed up a color just for us and our task was to make what we could with a skein of sock yarn. As soon as I saw the color I knew what I wanted to knit. The pattern was fairly simple to put together and Pine Cone Lace Wrist Ruffles were born.
They knit up very fast, using less than 2 ounces of yarn.
They are cute and flirty without getting in the way. You can find the pattern in the sidebar, upper right, its free. If you make a pair please show me pictures!
I love these - the color is great and they are a super little accessory!
