I have a staggering amount of projects on the needles right now. Two scarves, two socks, and a gignormous shawl. Yet when the mailman brought this to my door
I knew I would be taking a little side trip to Venice.
Yesterday, instead of cleaning bathrooms or doing a final edit I got lost in a bit of lace.
This shawl is constructed in a way that is new to me. It is begun in the round, then turns in to a square that makes the back V portion. From there, wings are knit on two sides on the square. It is very clever. Lori's designs often teach me something new. I like that in a pattern.
Look, I can do a circular cast on!
That yarn is very pretty I have never knit a shawl that started out circle but ended up square I can't wait to hear how you like it.

I know how you feel. I opened my package last night and was very tempted to cast on.....but then reality set in and I comforted myself with drooling over the yarn and pattern photos.

Annnddd... yet again another yarn I cannot capture in a photograph very well. Although Lori had trouble too, so I think it's not just me. I know you'll be cruising along on this - can't wait to see the FO!
