april socks

Here is how my April socks look today.

Did you notice that it is exactly the same as they looked two weeks ago?  There is no way I am going to finish the spinning and get a pair of socks made by the end of the month.  No way.  So here is my plan.

The fiber was given to me by my Grandma and as soon as I began spinning I knew that I wanted to make a pair of Babouches for her.  After weighing the pair I made in January, I learned that I would have enough to make a pair for myself as well.  I continued spinning with the idea of making two pair of socks.  Because it is so late in the month I have decided to finish the spinning in April and knit the two pair socks in May and still be in the game. 

What do you think?  Is that too much of a cheat?

Works for me! My goal is to have 12 pairs at the end of the year, if they don't all get done one a month I figure that's not so important.

My April socks may get done. I'm a third done the second sock. My problem is the wedding blanket that I keep feeling I should be working on every night.

Not cheating at all you will still have 12 pairs by the end of the year.
