There has been surprisingly little knitting on this here knitting blog. The end of summer brings one last, big push to get all the wonderful summer produce put up. The past couple of weeks have been all jars all the time. Now I am pretty much done. I have a few small things to put up, but the crush that is cases of peaches and tomatoes is over.
Yesterday I took to bed with a cold and did what I could with September's Handspun Socks.
I did not make it to the toe, but I did pass the gusset. So now I wait for that wayward fiber to make its way home.
The yarn for October's Handspun Socks has been spun and wrapped into a ball and is patiently waiting for me to cast on. It is Husband's turn for socks and I am going with a simple pattern that is mostly stockinette with a little seed stitch rib thrown in just 'cause.
October brings some dedicated knitting time. Youngest Son has decided he would like to wrestle. Practice happens twice a week and is too far from home for me to drop him off and return later. That means twice a week you will find me sitting on a gym floor knitting sway. I love that!
We've got son starting karate - same thing for me, although I think dad will take him once a week and me once a week.
I love. love. love. those socks.

My son is skating this year and soon to be playing hockey. I get a few strange looks when I'm knitting in the bleachers but I don't care :)
