My hands have been so sore from working in the kitchen, peeling, shopping, squeezing...that I have been hesitant to knit or spin.
A couple of days ago I pre-drafted some fiber, wound it up, and left it in the basket until my hands felt better. It kept calling to me, loudly. So last night I sat at the wheel to spin "just a bit".
This stuff spins like a dream and before I knew it, more than 2 ounces had been spun.
The fiber is Mixed BFL from Two If By Hand, colorway We Took To The Woods. This is an SAL/KAL for Ennea Collective's Hollow Oak Socks. These will be my November socks for the year of the handspun sock.
Usually I am delighted by the way the colors change from braid, to basket, to bobbin, to yarn. This fiber is unlike anything I have worked with because the colors stay true in each stage. It is pretty amazing and I will make a little collage to demonstrate once the yarn is finished.
This is beautiful.. It will be fun to see the next stage.
