a winner and The Twelve Knits of Christmas

Oops, kinda forgot about the Iconic Spirits giveaway, but all is well. The random number generator has spoken and Andrea is the winner! Now for some knitting, or at least a knitting book. I am still not able to knit, I see the Doc this week and hope he can speed things along. Until then I am having fun with knitting books. Just in time to use some of the odds and ends from your holiday knitting.

The Twelve Knits of Christmas by Fiona Goble. You may remember Fiona from the classics Knit Your Own Royal Wedding, Knit Your Own Zombie, or 'Twas the Knits Before Christams that I reviewed last year.

All the fun of the song brought to life with your needles. French Hens,

pipers pipping,

maids a milking,

lords a leaping,

swans a swimming...

The cherry on top?

A tree for your partridge to perch. Do partridges perch? I do not know, but I hope I am able to knit time to add one to this tree.

 

Of course these would great ornaments for your tree and perfect package toppers for others' trees, or to give to teachers, co-workers, the mailman, or your favorite checker at the grocery store.

Make a few for yourself and then share the love.
